"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: IT GOES ON." Robert Frost

Well, Bill begins a new job tomorrow with Moses Mechanical, which is a HVAC/ plumbing contractor out of Bentonville. He will be doing project management. We are taking a cut in his salary, but we figure with the economy the way it is, a smaller paycheck is better than no paycheck at all. He will still get a truck allowance, all gas and maintenance paid. So, to pinch a few extra pennies, we sold his truck and bought me a little car to piddle around town in. It is definitely not a family car, but will be a great car for me and the kids. He will drive the Armada for now. He was kinda sad to tell his truck goodbye, but it was a very smart move for us financially. He feels good about the future in this job and to tell you the truth, I feel better about this one than I did the one he just left. Also, his insurance starts immediately, which is a HUGE relief to me considering we are quickly heading into the cold, winter months.

As always, the kids are keeping us busy.

We are recovering from the big 10th birthday bash for Berkeley. She began basketball last week. They practice twice a week and begin games the first Saturday in December. We got our first report card and are proud to announce all As and Bs...she is really loving school again, which is a relief for us, and loves all of her teachers.

We finally finished the twins' new room. We moved them into the front bedroom since it has carpet, and we are getting ready to transition them to toddler beds. We converted their old room (aka the old office) back into an office/playroom. ALL the toys now have a home out of my living room!!

That is all I have for now.

Just another day in the life of us....

For the second time this year, Bill is searching for a job. He, along with about 100 other employees, were laid off due to slow business (aka crappy economy). The great thing about construction is the networking....it doesn't take long for the ball to get rolling and things to start happening. I have been working on his resume today, and have it ready for him to send out tonorrow. He has a meeting with a few of his contacts tomorrow, so hopefully we will have a better plan of action come tomorrow afternoon. We hold strong to the fact that everything happens for a reason, and that something bigger and better is out there for us to find. We will survive this too....we always come out better and stronger than before.

The possibibly of moving closer to home is in the back of our minds, but its all about timing. We definitely can't just pack up and move, and we have to take into account the big picture, not just what is in it for us right now. When the time is right, we will get closer to home. We are comfortable and happy in the life that we have made here, but there is always that little thought of how nice it would be to get back closer to our families.

Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for us....extra prayers wouldn't hurt either. I will keep y'all updated.

So, here are my Halloween pictures. Not very many of the twins...they were far from cooperative. Berkeley did some posing for me, though. I ended up not dressing up the twins, just getting them a Halloween t-shirt because they hate to have things on their head and do not like to be dressed up, so I decided not to fight it. Berkeley is dressed up in 80's fashion...I was pretty proud of her get-up....enjoy!
