I really am beginning to think this winter will never end. Northwest Arkansas, as of the first of February, has gotten over 17" of snow this year....that is about 7" above normal. The first snow storm brought a cold that I have never experienced before, and would be more than ok with never experiencing it again. It was a painful, bitter, cutting cold....and I DID NOT LIKE IT...one bit!
On February 5th, we had the twins' secons set of tubes put in their ears as well as their adenoids taken out. They did fabulous....well, all except the few minutes that Bennett wasn't getting his oxygen levels up into the 90s, where they are supposed to be. The nurse really thought that it was a wiring thing, since he had the toe Oxygen monitor, and maybe it just wasn't reading well. She didn't seem all that worried, since he was not turning blue or showing any other signs of low oxygen levels, BUT, we did have to take the actions of their protocol and give him an albuterol treatment, just to be on the safe side. As he came out of his anesthesia, the numbers finally came up and normalized enough so that we could go home. We had to be there at 7:30, and were at home by 11 for lunch and naps. We did learn that these two do not tolerate codeine products very well....complete opposite side effects! Orders were to keep them somewhat inactive (um, yeah, ok...), so of course we tried to give them their pain medicine with codeine in it to make them sleep.....yeah....not so much! They were like wild banshees.....running laps around the house, literally bouncing off the walls, jumping off things....they were CRAZY! LOL! NO MORE!!
Berkeley finished basketball. I must say it was an interesting season. Not at all what I had hoped for for Berkeley, but it is over, and we survived. We are just about ready to get softball on a roll, and that hopefully mean waarm weather is near!
I did take the twins outside yesterday and they got to ride their scooters and 4-wheelers for a little while. I will post some pictures later. They had a blast, and I am definitely ready to send them outside to play and get them out of the house!
Oh well, I think I have caiught up from the last few weeks....I will try and do better about updating more frequently....
