You are probably wondering.....
.....What in the world I have been doing. Well, I decided a while back to shut down my MySpace page....I just dont use it anymore. The thing is, though, I blogged my whole twin pregnancy and pretty much 1st year or so there before I really got to blogging here. So, I have been moving all those posts over here so I can have all my blogs in one spot. The only sucky thing is that I can't put them in their chronologial spot....oh well...anyway, I am now done and I can now get to updating from the holidays....

March of Dimes
Below is a post from one of my friends that I have copied in support of her efforts to raise awareness and funding for the March of Dimes. She was pregnant with her twins the same time as I was, and we were due within days of each other. Please, check out her story, and support her cause if you can. No donation is too small....Thanks!
Hi, all -
We are participating in The March of Dimes March for Babies this weekend. I feel compelled to share with you all a little bit of our story to give you a glimpse of the reality that IS prematurity. This is something that doesn't just happen to "other people" and, though long, I really appreciate you all giving it a read.... January 21, 2007 I awoke like so many times I have during this pregnancy in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. This time, however, was the first time I had ever seen any evidence of blood what-so-ever. Though it was very faint, something didn't seem right. I woke Joseph up & told him what was going on & we immediately decided to head to Frisco Centenenial. I thought I was probably overreacting since this was my first pregnancy, but we'd rather be safe. My symptoms presented so subtly & I have been in such good health that they did not think it was anything more serious than possible dehydration at first - the babies' heart beats were fine & they were squirming. I seemed to be the only one in pain. BUT when they checked me out it was determined that I had a 'bulging bag' - my water was about to break & they were coming. They immediately inverted me (I thought they were joking when they said they were going to put my feet over my head), to prevent gravity from helping them come out until the dr's arrived and the OR was set up for me. The on-call dr, Dr. Banks, was the first to come flying in, further assess the situation & deliver the crushing news to me that they needed to get me in for a c-section stat. The twins would be born at 25 wks.. I just started crying. "NO!" was all I could think. It was not supposed to be that way. I wasn't ready. They weren't ready - they couldn't be. I had worked so hard to do things right - even getting more down time lately, which most of you know is NOT natural for me! Dr. Banks hugged me and told me it was going to be ok. They would be ok. And off we went into the OR. It was somewhere slightly outside of the doors of the room when I collected myself and realized that -once again- I am NOT in control. These boys have proved this to me, if not from conception, definitely from the moment we found out that there were two of them in there! We would have to trust in God that this was part of his plan and that whatever happened from there, we'd get through it. We had no choice in the matter. The boys were born shortly thereafter. My dr, Dr. Halderman, arrived as they brought me into the OR to perform the operation. They had a hard time giving me an epidural b/c I couldn't sit up - I had to curl like a cat on my side for them to get it in. It took a while, but it was less painful than anything else I'd experienced that morning & the drugs were a beautiful thing. Gavin was born at 8:00 am and Mason at 8:02 am. Both were doing well from the start - as well as could be expected for babies weighing around 2 lbs born at 25 wks. They sent me back to the room while they took them to the NICU & got them ready for transport to Medical City. They let me see them and touch them for about 20 seconds before they left and by 10 or so Joseph was following their ambulance into town. Thank goodness I have such a great support group of friend b/c, as many of you know, my parents live in Houston and it takes a while to get here. No one ever left me alone and everyone did their best to keep our spirits high.
No one should ever have a birthday like that... no one should have their children delivered without knowing if they are even alive... no big scream in the delivery room... not even a small peep... nothing but silence. And, of course, the quiet sounds of many of medical professionals trying their damndest to "work" on your kids. Birthdays should be filled with congratulations, not fear... and certainly no "congratulations, I guess" - es.
The following weeks would be accompanied by sleepless days and night... surgery... and finally the loss of our beloved first born, Gavin. He always seemed strongest, but he developed a nasty infection called NEC that proved stronger than he was. They tried to reduce the infection with antibiotics, but while waiting for the medication to do its job they had to give him a ton of blood... which was what finally did him in. By the time they determined he required emergency surgery at 6am his liver was so full of product that it ruptured. They let me hold him for the first time as he died... in my arms... it provided no comfort or closure... by then he was no longer my son... my son was with God. It will haunt me the rest of my life...a piece of my soul died that day.
Mason, however, flourished from that point on. He is happy and incredibly healthy though he started out less than a foot long and has had to endure being intubated more times before 1 than any child should have to go through, a subglotic dialation, double hernia surgery, heart cath, and PDA ligation (yes - a second heart surgery because the cath procedure couldn't fix the PDA given the size and shape of Mason's defect). We are truly blessed. We are constantly reminded that - though miracles happen every day - children as healthy and "normal" as Mason certainly aren't guaranteed from 25 wk low birth weight babies! It's been alot of work... alot of breathing treatments... and certainly alot more stress than a normal beginning, but we have one of the sweetest children on earth in exchange for it.
The reason I am sharing this very personal story with you is because (as I mentioned earlier) the March of Dimes March For Babies is Coming up. We're walking as a family. It should be interesting taking a 2 yr old on a 5 mi walk around White Rock! What we need from you is donations... if you can spare it... because every baby deserves 9 months and March of Dimes is THE organization fighting prematurity. I had no idea before I had the boys what it meant to be premature.... I had no idea how it affected their bodies and development.... or that 1 in 8 babies born in the US are born prematurely. Every day extra you can give a baby is so sacred... Help March of Dimes end prematurity by donating to our team. If your company matches donations, there is a way to record that on the website... We are trying to raise just $500 this year (mostly b/c I know the economy is bad). If just 25 people even donated $10 (that's like taking your lunch to work 1 day this week... or skipping just 1 martini this weekend!) and their company matched we would make our goal! Please help us! I don't do many fundraisers, but Joseph & I feel that this is truly a worthy cause. Of course, donations aren't the only way you can help! I would also appreciate it if you could pass this e-mail along to anyone you know who may be inclined to donate...We'd also love to have any interested friends come walk with us! With that being said, here's the link to donate/join our walk:

I've also attached a link below to a slideshow of Mason's first year. He's obviously MUCH bigger now, but it gives you a feel of just how far he's come!

October 14, 2008 - Tuesday
What a Monday!
Ok, to preface this, Bennett began running fever Saturday evening, followed by McKinley joining him Sunday, with both running a low grade fever all day Sunday. I figure it is them cutting their eye teeth because they are drooling like crazy and clingy as hell. Well, after it didn't break today, I decide to take them in to the doctor just to be sure it wasn't their ears. After a night of up and down up and down with the babies, I got up too late to call in for a sub, so I get everyone dressed, take the babies to the sitter, get Berkeley to school, and get to my school to try and get a sub to come in and relieve me at some point that morning. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long. Our full-time sub was able to fill in for me and I was able to leave first thing. So, I run home, to try and get an appointment for them before I go and pick them up (the sitter lives just around the corner from me). I got an appointment for 10:20, so I went on and picked up the babies and came back to the house to finish getting ready. As I was getting ready, Bennett and Mckinley were playing in the living room, and McKinley starts bawling. She has slipped and apparently hit the edge of the fireplace, busting her lip (it looks like she bit it) and scratching her chin. So...I get that all taken care of and her settled down, the kids loaded up in the car, along with everthing else and head to the doctor. Thank goodness I did not have to wait long, because they were very fussy and I was going solo. The doctor came in and we go through the whole questioning part, and he begins to examine McKinley only to find that not only did she hurt her lip, she chipped both of her front teeth. GREAT!! It's not that bad...I didn't even notice when I checked her out, but still....anyway, we got a clean bill of health and they did our 18 month well baby check up while we were there and did shots...they did great. Needless to say, this has been a very long exhausting day for me... Is it bed time yet?
Stats:
Bennett: 31.5 inches long (27%), 22.6lbs(9%)
McKinley: 30 inches long (10%), 23.4lbs (34%)

Back to School and other stuff........
Well, summer is officially over. I started back to school on August 6th with 8 days of inservice. Berkeley had open house on August 12th, I had my Open House on August 14th, and classes began Monday, August 18th.
Berkeley is in 4th grade and her homeroom teacher is Mrs. Donna Wallace, but she has 5 other core teachers...yes, she changes classes. She has 2 blocks of Math, 2 blocks of Literacy (1 reading, 1 writing), Science and Social Studies. Then she also has the auxillary classes such as music, art, P.E., library, etc. So far she seems very excited about 4th grade. She is becoming quite the young lady. We have been taklking a little about growing up and what all that entails, and I let her shave her legs for the first time this past Sunday. She thought she was "da' bomb"! She is playing fall softball for the "Dirty Divas" and will play first base. She is a natural athlete, and is a pretty good player at all of the infield positions.
Bennett and McKinley are becoming quite the co-conspirators in mass destruction around our house. Bennett FINALLY decided to take up walking full time on Sunday, August 10th. I knew he would just up and do it one day out of the blue, as opposed to McKinley who gradually practiced until she was sure of herself. Now, we have TWO toddlers who find it great fun to destroy anything and everything within their reach. I have given up trying to pick up behind them, and just do a mass clean up each night, just to start over again. It is super funny to watch them interact to eact other and to Berkeley. They are nuts about their big sister. We did a tooth count just tonight, and McKinley is up to 11 teeth, but Bennett has her beat at 12. I guess our next big hurdle will be potty training.....and I am not even ready to think about that just yet...

July 31, 2008 - Thursday
A new update...haven’t done that in a while....
Well, I have not been really good about writing updates...so here is one.
Berkeley: She is totally enjoying summer break. Little does she know what 4th grade holds for her. LOL. All of a sudden she has realized that school isn't always going to be easy fun and games. She is getting so tall, and if she grows into her feet, she is going to tower over me. At 9 years old, she is wearing my shoes...granted I only wear 6.5/7, but geez....We will soon be gearing up for fall softball...hopefully it will be a better season than the spring. She also wants to play basketball this year, but we will see how things go with school. Her 10th birthday is quickly approaching as well. I can not believe I have an almost 10 year old.
Bennett: He is getting over his latest episode...Hand, Foot, Mouth. I guess there will always be one. He has a mouthful of teeth now...I think at last count he had 10. He cut his top 1 year molars about a month ago. He definitely LOVES to use those teeth too...to bite his sister. Yes, he is my biter, but he only seems to bite McKinley....which, I guess is a good thing, in a way. He is still not walking, although, he can if he wants to. I think he is trying to play us for fools....He is close to just going full out, but he would rather be on his knees trying to take McKinley's feet out from under her. LOL! He is such a clown. He clowns around as long as he has an audience that is laughing at him. He stands about 2" taller than McKinley, now, but he is still a little string bean.
McKinley: She is already a Miss Priss. She loves bracelets, purses, things in her hair...the whole nine yards. She has a serious temper as well, and gets her point across with her high pitched squealing. She is running everywhere and her new found fun time is having someone chase her...she loves it! She is my love bug. She LOVES to snuggle, and knows that all she has to do to get her way is lay her head on your shoudler and wrap her arm around your neck. At last count, she also has 10 teeth, which includes her 1 year molars. Although there is still less than a pound difference between her and her brother, she is still a little chunky monkey. God love her, she is still in size 2 shoes, so finding shoes to fit her is always a challenge.
Ok, so there is the latest and greatest in the world of the Mardis 5. Bill is loving his new job, and is really doing big things for this new division. I start back to school on the 6th...I can't believe I am going into my 4th year already.
A few more tid bits....
Things the babies are doing these days:
McKinley and Bennett's vocabulary: hi, bye, mom, dad, thanks, please, no, more,
Both babies will shake their heads yes and no to answer questions (do they know really what they are doing ALL the time....probably not, but most of the time it is accurate.) Both babies are blowing kisses, giving LOTS of kisses, patty cake, peek-a-boo, dancing. McKinley runs the other way screaming at the words: "time to go night-night". Bennett can drink from a straw, but McKinley can not. They both LOVE to make all these crazy noises, and Bennett makes vroooommmm noises when playing with his trucks and cars. McKinley is already loving purses and anything she can put her arm in. Both babies LOVE shoes and get super excited when we look and new shoes in the store. THey also like taking them off in the car....

June 6, 2008 - Friday
10 years
Wow, how time flies. Today makes the 10th anniversary of Bill and I getting married. Looking back, I am amazed at where we are at in our lives compared to where we began. We were very young (20) and still in college, and 6 moths later, we also became parents. It has been a long road, but is one that I am so proud to have succeeded thus far and hope for many more successes down the road. We both graduated from college, though a semester apart, and moved 8 hours from our families for Bill's new job. That was difficult, but we love it here and I truly believe that this is part of God's big plan for us. One year out of college, we built our first home. They say that if a couple can survive building a home together, they can handle pretty much anything. Well, with Bill in the construction industry, he had many legs up on me as to what everything meant and what goes where and so forth. We are both very hardheaded people, so we learned compromise throughout the build. Year seven was a hard one...that 7 year itch is a nasty bug, and it almost got the best of us. But, our relationship prevailed, and I truely believe that we are stronger now than ever. Year eight brought us a surprise pregnancy, and even more so when we found out it was twins. The last two years have been a whirlwind of mass craziness. With three kids, we stay on our toes, but I think thats just the way life is and I am happy to have it be so fulfilling.

With three kids, we stay on our toes, but I think thats just the way life is and I am happy to have it be so fulfilling.

you would have thought by now.....
....that I would know that these flat rocks in Arkansas are slippery as hell...not like to mud back home. Last week, we took our 8th graders to Devil's Den State Park for a 3 day outdoor classroom unit. It was awesome...every bit of it....even it raining/drizzling two of the three days we were there. WHICH means that these flat rocks that line the river beds and anywhere around them are obviously going to get very slippery. Now, if anyone is going to slip and make a fool of themselves, you can bet it will be me. And I did...I slipped and busted it big time! By the end of the day, I had convinced myself that I had broken or cracked a bone...knowing really, that if that were the case, I would not have been able to walk around all day from station to station with my group. It has to be the BIGGEST bruise I have ever had

B and M Year in Review
I am finally getting to slow down a bit to get a new journal up. On April 12th, my babies turned one. I can not believe it. It seems like just not too long ago that there were more days than not that it seemed that the days would never end. Now, here it is a year gone by. How can that be....? Why is it that the days seem so long yet the years so short? There are so many things that I already miss about them when they were bitty babies. With Berkeley, we were so young and for so long I refused to even think about another baby, let alone TWO. I was content with my little girl who is perfect in every way. Now, we have two healthy babies added to our family and they have brought so much joy and fun into our dynamic. They absolutely love their big sister and think she is the funniest person alive. They love for her to get down on the floor and wrestle with them. They are getting their own little personalities and attittudes. McKinley is gonna be my sassy drama queen. She will get in Bennett's face and tell him what for if he is doing something to make her mad. On the other hand, Bennett, I think, is going to a biter. With his two bottom teeth, he tries his hardest to bite...usually in response to his sister in his face. He tried to bite her ear the other day. They love each other, though and their relationship is going to one that I look foward to watching grow and strengthen for years to come. As a sister of twins, I know how tight a bond between each other can be. I can only hope that my twins are as close to each other as my sisters are.

Working at McDonald’s
Last night, the McDonald’s here in Pea Ridge held a fundraiser (called McTeacher’s Night) where from 4pm to 8pm, 10% of all sales went to our school. So, being the overachieving, outgoing teacher that I am (lol), I go and hang out at McDonald’s for the evening. Well, when I get there, the principals and some of the other administration were IN THE BACK COOKING! It was actually a pretty funny sight! So, my friend Courtney and I ask if we can work the driver-thru window (the 2nd one that just handles passing the food to the customer), and they gave us our special McTeacher’s Night aprons and hats and put us to work. I even got to wear the headset with the microphone thingy. Courtney said I looked JUST LIKE Brittney Spears...LOL!!! After Bill and Berkeley finished eating, they took the babies and went home, leaving me to work. Let me tell you, I have a new respect for fast food restaurant workers. You have to be on your A Game at all times of you will get everything out of the groove...and then it is total mayhem trying to catch back up...We ended up working for about the last hour and a half. It was actually really fun, and the kids got a kick out of seeing us working at McDonald’s. The newspaper lady took out picture for the paper, so I am going to email her today and see if she will email me a copy of the picture, so can post it.

just a quick update...
A LOT is happening this week. McKinley cut her top right tooth on Monday. We took Bennett back to the doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up to his last ear infection, and we finally got a referral to an ENT. On Wednesday, Bennett FINALLY started getting on his knees AND crawling some. I took McKinley in this morning for a follow-up to her ear infection and hers were still red too. Bennett had his ENT appointment this afternoon and he checked McKinley's ears out as well, and we decided to put tubes in BOTH babies' ears. They will have the procedure next Friday morning. We have to be at the clinic at 7am and we are first on the books. I am very excited about this because we have seen our fare share of the doctor's offices this year and we need a break and I am reeady for my babies to feel good again. The doctor was very optimistic about the procedure helping them out tremendously and I have heard nothing but good things about the outcomes from the tubes. As with everything, I know there are risks, but I think for Bennett and McKinley the benefits far outweigh the risks at this point. That is all I have for now....oh new stats...McKinley: 19lbs5oz and Bennett: 17lbs9oz. I forget the lengths. I will update when I have more news.

Please say a prayer....
I have a friend who I met over a year ago now on a pregnancy board who was also pregnant with twins and due right around the same time I was...the first part of May. Well, on January 21 of last year her two little boys (Mason and Gavin) made a grand entrance into the big ole' world at a mere 25 weeks. Sixteen days later (February 6) Gavin passed away. Today marks a year for his passing and I think that she and her family could use a few extra prayers today. Being her friend through this has been very humbling for me and has brought to light to just really how precious life is and that we are not in control of anything....not even a smidge. I find myself very distraught over this and very preoccupied trying to wrap my mind around what she must be going through...I guess, my mourning (for lack of a better word) for her and her family. I have never met this family in person, but I know just by our conversations that she has so much to be thankful for and is lucky to have the support that she does. I am amazed at her strength...she is superwoman, in my opinion. Mason is a mover and a shaker and has met and beat the odds so many times. I wish I could be there to hold her hand through these times. So, anyway, just say a prayer for them because I am sure that today is not gonna be a very good day.

9 month checkup
We took the babies for their 9 month checkup and shots today. As always, it sucks having to watch two babies look at you helplessly as they get stuck 2 or three times. They do really well, though, and do not cry for long. The doctor says they are doing great and are hitting all their milestones with flying colors! Bennett weighed in at 17lbs4oz and McKinley weighed in at 17lbs15oz, so Bennett may be trying to make a comeback in the weight category. Both babies were 27 1/4 inches long, so McKinley has caught Bennett for now in the height category. They both still have totally different builds...Bennett is long and lanky and McKinley...well she has quite a few fat rolls. It amazes me to look at them and see how differently they are shaped knowing they are so close in all their measurements. So...I think that covers all the highlights of their visit...no more shots til their birthday.

9 months
My babies are 9 months today. I've said it before, but time is moving way too fast. It seems like every day they are doing something or trying to do something new. This past month has been very exhausting. We went into the holiday season with both babies coming down with RSV, and no sooner than they fully recovered from that, they both get ear infections in both ears. Needless to say all schedules and routines that we had down to a T are all shot to hell and back and we are still trying to get back on track. McKinley ALMOST got her two front teeth for Christmas (LOL). The left one FINALLY broke the surface the day after Christmas and the right one followed 3 days later. They are all over the place. McKinley is a crawling machine, and Bennett is happy with his army crawl...he gets where he needs to be and he is cool with that. McKinley is pulling up on everything as well. We bought them a walker with some of their Christmas money, and, God bless them, they have my short legs and can't reach the floor...even with it lowered all the way. They do have fun in it, though because Berkeley puts them in it and pushed them all over the house in it. I have started giving them more table food, and they are loving every bit of it....they even like to knaw on cold celery stalks! Ok, so I do not think I have left anything out for the month. They go to the doctor for their 9 month check up on the 22nd, so I will have stats then.

Time goes by way too fast!
Why does time seem to be moving faster and faster as my children continue to grow and change every day?
It seems like only yesterday Berkeley was a baby and we were obsessed with getting everything and anything on camcorder because it was all so cute. Now, she is NINE years old, in third grade and is turning into a young lady. We are seeing the first and early signs of puberty in her already, which makes me sad that my little girl is growing up. She is so smart and independent and such an outstanding big sister. She has been thrown alot in the past year, but she continues to excel in everything she does from school work to sports and everything in between.
I can't believe the twins are 8 months today. Time has really flown. They did not stay little long enough. They have their own little personalities and quirks, and are becoming more and more their own little person every day. McKinley is my mover and shaker. She is now crawling full force. She started taking steps last Thursday, but now, there is no stopping her! Bennett is happy sliding on his belly to get where he needs to go. He is my jabber-box. He will sit and just talk and talk and talk. They have discovered each other's company and have begun to play with each other as well as fighting over toys. It is pretty cute to watch.
So, it is Christmas, and I am having to think of how to buy for a pre-teen AND two infants. YIKES!!

Dear Santa,
I've been a good mom all year. I've fed, cleaned and cuddled my children on demand, visited the doctor's office more than my doctor and sold sixty-two cases of candy bars to raise money to plant a shade tree on the school playground. I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my daughter's red crayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, and who knows when I'll find anymore free time in the next 18 years.
Here are my Christmas wishes:
I'd like a pair of legs that don't ache (in any color, except purple, which I already have) and arms that don't hurt or flap in the breeze, but are strong enough to pull my screaming child out of the candy aisle in the grocery store.
I'd also like a waist, since I lost mine somewhere in the seventh month of my last pregnancy.
If you're hauling big ticket items this year I'd like fingerprint resistant windows and a radio that only plays adult music, a television that doesn't broadcast any programs containing talking animals, and a refrigerator with a secret compartment behind the crisper where I can hide to talk on the phone.
On the practical side, I could use a talking doll that says, "Yes, Mommy" to boost my parental confidence, along with two kids who don't fight and three pairs of jeans that will zip all the way up without the use of power tools.
I could also use a recording of Tibetan monks chanting "Don't eat in the living room" and "Take your hands off your sister," because my voice seems to be just out of my children's hearing range and can only be heard by the dog.
If it's too late to find any of these products, I'd settle for enough time to brush my teeth and comb my hair in the same morning, or the luxury of eating food warmer than room temperature without it being served in a Styrofoam container.
If you don't mind, I could also use a few Christmas miracles to brighten the holiday season. Would it be too much trouble to declare ketchup a vegetable? It will clear my conscience immensely. It would be helpful if you could coerce my children to help around the house without demanding payment as if they were the bosses of an organized crime family.
Well, Santa, the buzzer on the dryer is calling and my daughter saw my feet under the laundry room door. I think she wants her crayon back. Have a safe trip and remember to leave your wet boots by the door and come in and dry off so you don't catch cold.
Help yourself to cookies on the table but don't eat too many or leave crumbs on the carpet.
Yours Always,
MOM...
P.S. One more thing...you can cancel all my requests if you can keep my children young enough to believe in Santa.

7 Months
The babies turned 7 months today. We spent it at home with the runs...gross, yes, but that was what we did. Both babies were sick over the weekend, and so I decided to spare my babysitter some stress and keep them home an extra day to be sure they were up to par...she does have 4 babies (including my 2) that are within 3 weeks of each other in age. As far as milestones...McKinley is trying her hardest to crawl..I keep saying any day now. She has become quite the jabber-box as well. She is loving her big-girl food and snacks. No teeth, yet, for her though. Bennett is just about 3 weeks behind his sister in the moving and shaking department. He is just deciding that he wants to get on his hands and knees and had figured out that he can get places be rolling. His first tooth (lower left) broke skin today...thank goodness. He is very vocal as well and is telling quite some stories...not sure what they are, but he sure does tell us about it! He also loves his food and snacks that we have introduced to them in the past few weeks.
I have been watching the babies using their passies, and am tickled at their getting mad and beginning to cry and then putting the passie in their mouth. I just get so tickled at that for some reason. It's like, "ok, I know the drill...I'll do it myself." I am wondering if this is a sign that it is time to get rid of these things before they become too dependent on them. A part of me wants to go ahead and get rid of them, and another part is not ready to cross that bridge yet.
I am going out of town Wednesday and will be gone til Friday, so Bill will have his first time at home with all three kids by himself. I know he will do fine, and it will do him some good to have a go at it by himself. It will be nice to get away for a few days and relax...even though I will be in workshops all day for 2 days.
Ok, well, that's all I have for now. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
Love, Lori Anne

Night Out on the Town
Bill and I enjoyed our first night out since the babies were born. It was quite an amazing night. We began our "date" at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where we were VIP guests at the Friends and Family Grand Opening Night because Bill was the project manager on the construction of this place. It was pretty awesome. Everything on the menu was on the house...drinks and everything. There were 6 people at our table and the bill turned out to be over $550.00. This definitely will not be a frequently visited restaraunt. It was THE BEST steak I have ever had as well as the sides...MMMM. We pretty much "shut the place down" hanging out with the owners, who also got us a room at the Embassy Suites for the night. I actually got a whole night's sleep without interruption...even though I was up wide awake at 5am this morning. UGH! Anyway...It was a nice change of pace to get dressed up and got out on the town all expenses paid.
